City of Hialeah, Florida General Info

The city of Hialeah is situated in Miami and Dade County, Florida, USA. The metropolitan areas of Greater Florida and the Miami are the areas where the Hialeah city belongs. In the 2009 US census of population the city has a residents of 218,819 in which it was reduced when it compared to 2000 census of population which has a residents of 226,419. However, the city is recognized as the sixth largest city in the Florida states.

The geographical location of Hialeah is at 25°51′38″N 80°17′38″W / 25.86056°N 80.29389°W / 25.86056; -80.29389. The total area of the city is 19.7 mi2 which the 19.2 mi2 is the land area and the remaining 0.5 mi2 of it is water that is according to the US census bureau.

The economy of Hialeah is very important to the growth of the county of Miami-Dade. The city of Hialeah is a major commercial center and is home to national retailers such as Target, The Home Depot, Walmart, Lowe's and Starbucks has also developed the business, as Navarro and Sedano's. The city of Hialeah is home to the vivacious community of shops families who are actively and successfully compete with national chains, franchises, and outfitters. As part of the city's business, meeting the needs of local communities to national companies have changed their strategies in traditional business and remain competitive. There are also which provides merely to business of the American Latin and Hispanic and that was Public Sabor which was opened on one of the primary street in the city by the public supermarkets. The newly form business in the city that refresh the local economy are the industries of electronics and technology while the cloth industry that made the city industrialize during 1970 to 1980 was disappeared. The city’s statistics recorded 54,147 families which lives the city with 69,700 households and around 209,971 people according to the census of population in 2006. The city has a population density of 4,543.7 / sq km, which corresponds to 11,767.3 per square mile. There were about 72 142 households have an average density of 1,447.7 / km ². The residents of the city composed of Hispanic people of 90 percent with 4.1 percent non-Hispanic, with an African American of 2.41 percent, also with .13 percent Native American, also with an Asian of .40 percent, the Pacific Islander of 0.02 percent, and the rest comprises the other races living the city. 

Fort Lauderdale is part of Dade-Miami County in which the Miami has sub-tropical climate with warm winters and humid summers and very dry. Miami receives abundant rainfall, one of the highest in major U.S. cities. Most of the rains occur in mid-May until early October while most of the year is hot and humid. However, summers are almost identical to the climate of the Caribbean tropics also the rainy season lasts from May to October.
